Michigan lets you play the lottery both online and in‑store, so you can join the draws from your phone, computer, or at a retailer. Below is how Powerball, Mega Millions, and other options work in the Wolverine State.
Ticket sales close at 9:45 p.m. Eastern Time on Powerball draw nights (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays). For online players, sales reopen immediately after the draw. For in‑store purchases, you can buy again after the night’s draw.
To win the Powerball jackpot, you must match all six numbers. There are smaller prizes too, starting with matching just the Powerball for a base prize.
